We built the story we wanted to keep.
Two people with a couple of decades in software, and a growing pile of photos we didn't want to lose to a camera roll. So we built somewhere for them to live.

Who's behind it
Hi, we're Michael and Victoria. We've spent decades in the tech industry building software companies. Meanwhile, we've been living our lives — taking thousands of photos of precious moments, and yet not being able to find those moments when we wanted to look back on them. We also didn't have a great way of sharing those stories.
So we built Vivid Stories, for ourselves and everyone like us, to share the stories that are truly meaningful with our friends and family. We aren't influencers, and we don't care about having a bunch of followers. We really only want to share our stories with the ones who matter.
We live in Burlingame, California, with our two kids and our dog. We spend our weekends trying to fit in workouts between birthday parties and seeing friends and family. To us, this is what life is about, and what special moments are made of.
We'd love for you to be able to share your stories with the ones you love as well.
The photo isn't the memory.
The story is.
A photo saves what a moment looked like. It almost never saves what it felt like — the reason you reached for the camera in the first place.
That story, the version you'd actually want to read again in ten years, rarely gets made. It slips away between camera rolls and cloud drives. That's the gap we're closing.
